Illuminated ice tables for Emilie Baltz

A series of "tables" built with solid blocks of ice illuminated with LED strips and custom controllers for two interactive dinner parties created by sensory experience artist Emilie Baltz at the Bemis Center for Contemporary Art.

Hot bowls of spicy ramen were served to the guests at each table, slowly sinking into the ice as they melted away the ice around them. Guests felt a sense of urgency the brave the heat before its warmth was taken away by the ice
